Emma González is an American student who, after surviving the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Florida, has become a passionate activist and advocate for stricter gun control.

As the co-founder of Never Again MSD, she regularly lobbies politicians to support tighter regulations which would prevent further gun violence.

The organisation is known for their rallies where people take to the streets to demand a change in legislation to make lives safer for Americans.

They are also known for their vocal condemnation of politicians who receive payments from the National Rifle Association.

Emma embodies the change she, and numerous other global citizens want to see, and we can learn a lot from her ability to rise empowered from tragedy. She is an inspirational young woman.
