The YSI and its members will always be strong advocates for mental health.

We have proudly played a key role in helping to improve the mental health support available for young people in Scotland.


In 2018, we passed a motion at SNP Party Conference calling for the Scottish Government to back the Mental Health Foundation’s campaign to create a “whole-school approach” to mental wellbeing, which would see all teachers and support staff receive supported mental health training.
