Terrorist Attacks in Sri Lanka

All of us in the Young Scots for Independence are horrified to learn of the devastating loss of life in terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka today.

On Easter Sunday, the most prominent day in the Christian calendar, innocent worshippers attended church to celebrate and instead were met with chaos and destruction.

We must stand together in the face of such hatred with respect, empathy and love - to make sure that no one should ever have to practise their faith in fear.

Our deepest sympathies and solidarity will remain with the bereaved and injured, and all Sri Lankans at this sad time.
